I totally agree@ My wife and I had an argument tonight because of this exact situation. I had a voicemail icon on my tilt, and I was complaining about how I couldn't just tap it and it show me the notification bubble saying how many messages I had with an option to dial. Her response was, 'well you just dial 1, duh'. As if everyone knows this. I am a software engineer, and somehow I never knew this about any of the cell phones I have ever owned. Apparently, it's one of the universals of the technology industry, like F1 is for help in windows. Anyway, I agree that there should be a straightforward way to check voicemail on a WM device, but so far I haven't found one.
